Principal’s Message

J91A6078A Note from the Principal’s Desk

Dear Paradise Families,

A very warm welcome to a great school year! This first week of school has been full of excitement and great positive energy that I know will continue through the year. It will be a thrilling year with our first year of Engineering curriculum being implemented along with a heavy project based learning focus. Our teachers have been attending training, have been planning over the past few months on changing the instructional delivery across content areas and can’t wait to get it all in the hands of students.

It has been a wonderful journey this past year bringing the whole community together as we have developed our school’s new vision and mission statements defining our work ahead with the Engineering focus. My staff and I are committed to educational, social, and emotional development of each student at our school. With the Engineering focus, we are continuing this work and redesigning our educational experiences to enhance critical thinking and problem solving skills in our students. Our vision and mission statements are also posted on our school website. I hope that you will follow us on our school Facebook page for continuous updates on our school’s happenings. We have lots of fun activities planned in the upcoming months at our school so keep a eye out for the school calendar. It is also available on our school website. Our school Back to School Night/ Engineering Academy Kick-off is planned for September 8th, 2016 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. We are excited and look forward to lots of fun and festivities alongside you.

Research has shown that when parents are involved in their child’s education, children are more successful at school. I strongly believe that the success of our students is due, in part, to the strong partnerships that are developed with our families and our community. I encourage families to become positively involved in one of our many school organizations, including School Site Council, English Learner Advisory Committee, Home and School Club, etc.

I am thrilled to start this school year filled with new found excitement and doing what is best for students.

If you have questions or if I can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me via email at dagars@mhusd.org or by phone at 408-201-6460.

Have a great year, and Go Panthers!!! #PantherPride

Sincerely,

Ms. Swati Dagar

Principal – Paradise Valley Engineering Academy
