Principal’s Message

J91A6078A Note from the Principal’s Desk

Dear Paradise Families,

This is such a wonderful time of year, the season of falling leaves, brisk mornings, and rain showers. It is the time of year when our families and friends gather around the dinner table, hot chocolate, when family members come home for the holidays and stop by school, and when families come together to celebrate the Holidays. This is a time to enjoy the magic of the seasons and to appreciate our many blessings. I am appreciative of the positive parent participation that we have at our school. I am appreciative of families reaching out to their teachers, or to me for any assistance or helping answer their questions. By ensuring good contact between teachers, administration, staff members, students and parents we can work together to ensure that every student is learning as effectively as possible.

I would like to invite you to our Family Education Night on December 13th, 2017 at 5 pm. This will be a parent workshop with a focus on Digital Citizenship and how technology can be used to enhance learning and social development. If you are that parent whose child asks for technology devices and uses them regularly for schoolwork or for entertainment, this workshop is for you. We will delve into how you can protect our child’s information from being public and how you can set standards for technology use at home.

Birthday Book Club: We are introducing the Birthday Book Club. On your child’s birthday, instead of getting some food treats for the class, help other students with the gift of reading – Donate a new book to the school library with your child’s name on it. We will have stickers in the school front office for your use. We appreciate your child’s donation of a new book to the library and your child will be presented with a Certificate of Appreciation.

Lost and Found: Please check the lost and found boxes for jackets, sweatshirts, sweaters, water bottles, lunch boxes, and other items left on the yard after recess and lunch. Any unclaimed clothing will be donated to charity during the winter break.

We are looking forward to the term ahead and all the challenges and opportunities it will bring. I wish you and yours a very Happy Holidays and an even greater New Year ahead.

Yours sincerely,

Ms. Swati Dagar

Principal – PVEA
