Good Evening,
I hope you all enjoyed some time with loved ones and away from school and work (hopefully you received some days off). Here are a few notes about items coming up and what we have to look forward to this December.
Notes/Updates

If you missed it, I’d like to introduce Sarah Guthrie, Administrator on Special Assignment and Kristin Matsis, Teacher on Special Assignment. Mrs. Guthrie will be here on Friday’s and Mrs. Matsis on Thursdays as admin support.

Playground Update: The kids have asked for an update :) The district has a contractor ready to install the playground over the break. We are waiting for a few more pieces to come in. Fingers crossed the kids will come back from break with a new playground.

SST’s- Student Study Team meetings are when different folks on campus get together to meet with you to discuss your child’s progress. The team may include myself, Mr. Marius (SST Coordinator and English Learner Facilitator), Ms. Love (School Psychologist), Mrs. Alciati (Literacy Intervention), your child’s teacher, yourself, and anyone else that may have insight to your child’s progress. This is truly a time to discuss if we need to make any adjustments, provide intervention, or just get different perspectives on how we can best help. If your child has been recommended for a SST your child’s teacher will inform you and you will receive a follow up call from Mr. Marius to schedule the meeting. We normally have one SST day every 6 weeks as most interventions are on a 6 week cycle.

11/28: Adopt-A-Family flyers went home today and a notice that we are holding a canned food drive starting today. Barrels are located in the front office if you would like to drop off items.
11/29: 4th and 5th grade Academic Awards
11/30: HSA meeting 8am
11/30: SSC and ELAC meetings
*Book Fair starts at the end of this week!!! Volunteers will work hard to get it set up and ready for student previews on Friday. We will open it Saturday morning during the Kinder Enrollment.
12/3/22- Kinder Enrollment Event- open to all kids that would be enrolling in TK or Kinder next school year. We will offer tours of the campus and open the book fair. Hours will be from 9am -12pm. Those who attend will have priority enrollment for the Fall. Please let your neighbors and friends know.
12/3-12/8: Book Fair
12/9: Family Dance from 6-8pm *see HSA website for details
12/14: Last day to donate to the Canned Food Drive
12/16: Last day to turn in Adopt-A-Family gifts
12/16: FunVisor during lunches
12/19: Panther Den during first recesses
12/21: First grade holiday performance 8-9am
12/23: No School
01/09: Return to School
